Mature Driver Assessments
Throughout October and November, Road Safety Scotland is running a campaign entitled โFitness to driveโ. This campaign is aimed at drivers aged 65 and over.
In conjunction with I.A.M. Roadsmart, (Formerly the Institute of Advanced Motorists), the campaign seeks to help the mature driver continue to enjoy the independence afforded by safe driving for as long as possible.
Assessments are being offered to any driver in the age bracket who wishes to have a professional assessment of their driving. These 1 hour assessments are free of charge and are conducted in the driverโs own car. Funding for this initiative is provided by the Scottish Government.
Those interested may access an assessment by signing up at any of the Roadshow events currently touring Scotland.
Further details of Roadshow dates and locations can be obtained from the Road Safety Scotland Website and Facebook pages.
